Rev. Gerald Graham Helphenstine, 67, passed away Friday August 30, 2019 at his Dayton, Ohio residence. He was born April 14, 1952 in Maysville, Kentucky, to Charles and Irene (Roberts) Helphenstine. Gerald worked for 5 church ministries for over 40 years and attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also was a member and minster of the Wesleyan Holiness Association of Churches for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Marietta (Tomblin) Helphenstine, children: Aaron Helphenstine (Lisa), Gera Latham (Barry), Joshua Helphenstine (Brooke); grandchildren: Allyssa Winters (Christian), Megan Helphenstine, Kelsey Helphenstine , Ethan Thurman, Amy Helphenstine, Dakota Helphenstine, Justtyn Parsley, Kailynn Parsley; great-grandchild, Makynleigh Winters: a sister-in-law, Cathy Helphestine and a host of very special friends.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Helphenstine, two brothers Charles Allen and Ricky Scott Helphenstine. One sister, Charlene Garr Helphenstine.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 5, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg, KY with Rev. Leonard Roop officiating.
Gerald will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 4, at the funeral home.
