Patricia Ann Hudson passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2020 at the age of 80. She was born May 19, 1939 to Charles and Betty Hatfield. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years, Howard (Sid), and a grandson, Brock. She is survived by her brother, Stan Hatfield; two sons: Rick (Sarah) Hudson, and Randy (Melinda) Hudson; and her grandchildren: Garrett, Branson, Tanner, Bryona, Bryce, and Brayln.
Pat was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School and Miami University. She was a member of the St. Augustine Parish in Jamestown. Pat was a lifelong educator, teaching in the Beavercreek and Greeneview districts through retirement. She went on to teach at Clark State Community College, local GED classes, and became a math tutor. Pat often shared with her family the joy of seeing a young person’s self-confidence soar as they learned and achieved their academic goals. She will be missed by her family, friends, and (most of) her former students who she still referred to as her “kids”.
A special thank you to the Nurses of Crossroads Hospice and Sarah and her family for making it possible for Pat to stay at home during her battle with Alzheimer’s.
There is no public service planned in light of the current health situation. The Powers-Kell Funeral Home is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Miami Valley Alzheimer’s Association and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jamestown.
